A bill to amend 1968 PA 2, entitled

"Uniform budgeting and accounting act,"

(MCL 141.421 to 141.440a) by adding section 18a.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 18a. (1) A local unit shall not appropriate any money to an individual or entity that provides abortions or abortion counseling and referral services.

(2) As used in this section, "abortion" means that term as defined in section 17015 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.17015.
