A bill to amend 1994 PA 451, entitled
"Natural resources and environmental protection act,"
(MCL 324.101 to 324.90106) by adding section 61506g.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
Sec. 61506g. The operator of an oil or gas well shall not use
flaring as a method to control methane emissions.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act takes effect 90 days
after the date it is enacted into law.
Enacting section 2. This amendatory act does not take effect
unless Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No.____ (request no.
04834'15 *) of the 98th Legislature is enacted into law.
