A SUMMARY OF SB 713 AS REPORTED BY THE HOUSE COMMITTEE 5-20-14
The bill would amend the Mental Health Code (MCL 330.1226) to allow community mental health services programs to enter into partnerships with other providers or managers of health care or rehabilitative services to foster interagency communication, cooperation, coordination, and consultation. Any activities performed under such an agreement must be consistent with Section 206 of the code, which sets forth the purposes of community mental health services programs.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Community mental health services programs may incur some minimal administrative costs by partnering with other providers or managers of health care or rehabilitative services for the purposes identified in the bill.
