The House was called to order by the Clerk.

The roll was called by the Clerk of the House of Representatives, who announced that a quorum was not present.

Rep. Jim Stamas, from the 98th District, offered the following invocation:

“Heavenly Father, as we approach the end of this legislative session, may we offer thanks for the year that was… and ask for Your blessing as we look forward to a new session filled with challenges and opportunity.

Lord, we ask for Your divine guidance as we go about our tasks here today and pray that the work that is done will make Michigan a better place that we can serve and be proud to call home. We ask that You be with those that are in harm’s way protecting our nation and our state. In Your name we pray, Amen.”
