CONTENT
The bill would amend Part 632 (Nonferrous Metallic Mineral Mining) of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act to extend the date after which the Department of Environmental Quality may not promulgate additional rules under Part 632, from December 31, 2005, to January 31, 2006.
The Act authorizes the Department to promulgate rules it considers necessary to carry out its duties under Part 632, including standards for construction, operation, closure, postclosure monitoring, reclamation, and remediation of a nonferrous metallic mineral mine.
