CONTENT
The bills amended the Michigan Memorial Highway Act to name various highways in memory the 10th Mountain Division, Ronald W. Reagan, the UAW Sitdown Strike, and the Marine Corps League.

The bills were tie-barred, and took effect on February 3, 2006.

Senate Bill 624


The bill named Highway US-24 in Wayne County the "10th Mountain Division Memorial Highway".


The bill also named the portion of Highway M-3 in Macomb County beginning at Harrington Boulevard and continuing north to its end, the "Ronald W. Reagan Memorial Highway".

House Bill 4718


The bill named the portion of Highway M-54 between I-75 and I-69 in Genesee County the "UAW Sitdown Strike Memorial Highway".


The bill also named the portion of M-54 between I-69 and M-57 in Genesee County the "Marine Corps League Memorial Highway".

The bills will have no fiscal impact on State or local government. Section 2 of the Act requires the State Transportation Department to provide for the erection and maintenance of suitable markers only when sufficient private contributions have been received to pay for the cost of erecting and maintaining the markers.
