Summary

To increase the total authorized project cost of the St. Clair County Community College General Campus Renovations Project by $4,000,000, which the College will completely finance.  A total project cost of $9 million was established under PA 530 of 2002 to renovate theMcKenzieBuilding classrooms and laboratories, and a 15,000 sq. ft. addition to theCollegeCenterBuilding.  Financing is split evenly between the College and State Building Authority.

The College indicates that the cost of the project is now $13 million.  The project cost increase is attributable to inflationary factors, mechanical systems, and scope refinement.

The Joint Capital Outlay Subcommittee (JCOS) approved this resolution, with recommendation.
