A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled
"Michigan vehicle code,"
by amending section 819 (MCL 257.819), as amended by 1990 PA
168.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 819. (1)
Except as provided in subsections (2) and
2 (3), revenue from the
increases in fees provided in the 1987
3 amendatory act that
added this section is appropriated to the
4 transportation
economic development fund, and shall not be
5 appropriated for any
other purpose in any act making
6 appropriations of
state funds.
7 (2) For the fiscal
year ending September 30, 1988, of the
8 revenue from the
increases in fees provided by the 1987
9 amendatory act that
added this section, $1,350,000.00 shall be
10 deposited in the state
treasury and credited to the general fund,
1 except that not more
than $500,000.00 shall be credited to the
2 gasoline inspection
and testing fund created in section 8 of Act
3 No. 44 of the Public
Acts of 1984, being section 290.648 of the
4 Michigan Compiled
Laws, and $100,000.00 shall be used during
5 either the fiscal year
ending September 30, 1990, or the fiscal
6 year ending September 30, 1991, for research of products derived
7 from corn grown in
this state for, but not limited to
8 transportation
purposes as described in section 9 of article IX
9 of the state
constitution of 1963.
10 (3) For the fiscal year ending September 30, 1989, and each
11 fiscal year thereafter, of the revenue from the increases in fees
12 provided in the 1987 amendatory act that added this section,
13 $2,500,000.00 shall be deposited in the state treasury and
14 credited to the general fund, except that not more than
15 $1,000,000.00 shall be credited to the gasoline inspection and
16 testing fund.
17 Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take
18 effect unless Senate Bill No. 374
19 of the 92nd Legislature is enacted into
20 law.
