SUBSTITUTE FOR
HOUSE BILL NO. 5198
A bill to amend 1976 PA 267, entitled
"Open meetings act,"
by amending section 9 (MCL 15.269), as amended by 1982 PA 130.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:
1 Sec. 9. (1) Each public body shall keep minutes of each
2 meeting showing the date, time, place, members present, members
3 absent, any decisions made at a meeting open to the public, and
4 the purpose or purposes for which a closed session is held. The
5 minutes shall include all roll call votes taken at the meeting.
6 Corrections The public body shall make any corrections in

17 prevent the public body from complying with section 444 of
18 subpart 4 of part C of the general education provisions act, 20
19 USC 1232g, commonly referred to as the family educational rights
20 and privacy act of 1974.
