        A bill to amend 1893 PA 206, entitled

   "The general property tax act,"

   by amending section 106 (MCL 211.106).

               THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN ENACT:

           Sec. 106.   The  FOR TAXES LEVIED BEFORE JANUARY 1, 1999,

      THE taxes on any  lands  PROPERTY returned as delinquent may be

      paid to the county treasurer at any time prior to the day of sale

 4
      PURSUANT TO SECTION 60.  After  such  A petition is filed with

      taxes  therein  specified IN THE PETITION shall not stay proceed-

      ings  thereon  ON THE PETITION to enforce payment of  such
