A SUMMARY OF HOUSE BILL 5762 AS INTRODUCED 5-10-00


Generally, under the Public Health Code, health facilities and agencies are licensed for one year at a time. (There are some exceptions.) House Bill 5762 would amend the code to specify that a license for a nursing home would be valid for not more than six months after the occurrence of certain events, including:


Except under the above-noted circumstances, the term of licensure of a nursing home would be one year.
