ADDENDUM TO SENATE FISCAL AGENCY ANALYSIS OF SB 392 DATED 11-22-99:


HOUSE COMMITTEE ACTION:


The House Transportation Committee adopted one amendment to Senate Bill 392. Currently the law requires that a speed limit in a school zone be in force 30 minutes before school starts, and then again for 30 minutes following dismissal. The amendment requires that the school speed limits be in force "not less than 30 minutes but not more than one hour" before school starts and after students are dismissed.
